Of course you are!

But before we do…

Meet the Author!

Madisyn Carlin is a Christian, homeschool graduate, blogger, voracious bookdragon, and author. When not spending time with her family or trekking through the mountains, she weaves tales of redemption, faith, and action.

And we can’t forget…

Key’s Synopsis

When Nerissa Wessen finds an unconscious man near her village, she knows one thing: trouble is on its way. What she doesn’t anticipate is the stranger’s charming smile—or the reason why he’s in her land in the first place.

Detective Denton Yindell wants only to put his past behind him and make good on a failed promise. When unforeseen circumstances place him on the doorstep of the very people who can help, Denton must convince the distrustful villagers to assist him.

But good intentions can bring about disastrous consequences, and when Denton’s past hunts him down, Nerissa’s family and village are threatened. Can two hearts—one wary and one wounded—learn to trust before evil eradicates those who oppose it?

And finally….

  1. Cool! I hear he’s pretty popular lol.

Ooo, Flynn is hilarious! I really like him and Rapunzel, but then I also adore Maximus XD. Seriously, where can I find a horse like him?

  2. I love this!!! This is such a fun cover reveal! So far I’ve only read CROWN and Calvin was my favorite character in that book! I love fairytale retellings and Tangled is one of my FAVORITE Disney movies ever! Is so good!

  3. Thank you so much for helping with the cover reveal! And “Tangled”! YES! That is the best retelling ever, hands down. Even my dad, who is not a big fairy tale movie watcher, really enjoys it. Of course, I think he also wants the palace…but who wouldn’t? I personally am more interested in the tower if it was refitted for stairs. I haven’t the upper body strength to haul myself up.

    1. You’re welcome, Madi!

Haha, the writers were so clever with that movie.
Yes, who wouldn’t want a palace like that! Ooo, maybe you could install a little elevator for the tower too (yeah, I have no upper body strength either XD.)
Have you ever seen the Greatest Showman, and how Zendaya had to do rigorous exercising to do some of the aerial scenes? That’s so insane how much strength it takes to do that.

      1. Haha, yeah right! I watched Frozen when it came out in theaters (which was like, what, 2013? 2014? I can’t remember. I remember, like, a couple scenes, and only bits and pieces. So when people are like “oh, yeah, this scene” I’m like “um yes…remind again what that is?”

Also, Aladdin and Flynn are probably my favorites. And Prince Charming. Even though his name is literally Charming. Or whatever his real name is. LOL.

        1. I think we went to see it in theaters too (wow, it was that long ago???) Haha, that’s funny. Sometimes I only remember bits and pieces from different movies too.

Oh yeah, it’s been awhile since I’ve seen the original Aladdin; did you see the live action version too?
Poor Charming. We need to give him a real name XD.

          1. I actually googled it, and I believe it says his name was Henry (French version: Henri?).. So is his last name Charming? Like, so, King Charming? XD

And yes, I did see the live version, but I preferred the original:) I’ve watched the original version… hmm… a LOT. LOL.

            1. Really? Hmm…King Charming…nope, doesn’t quite have the same ring XD (ooo, I think it was my sister who discovered that Snow White’s prince was originally named…*drumroll* Florian! Like, really? That’s what they thought of when they first created him? XD.)

Lol, I totally get that *glances at all the family movies I watched a gazillion times over* XD.

              1. Are you serious? Florian? Huh… I kinda like that. Now all I can think about is The Florid Sword from The Wingfeather saga! But, yeah, Florian? Maybe…. George? Idk LOL. I’ve actually never watched Snow White XD My uncle gets on my case about watching classics. Like, “You’ve never watched The Lion King?” I’m all for classics, don’t get me wrong, I’ve just never… watched them. LOL.

                1. If I remember right…unless that was for Belle’s prince…???
Haha, I forgot about him! This probably means I need to reread the Wingfeather Saga lol.
George is a very popular name in our family (*cough looks at sister cough*) for random characters/people/things/you name it. New plant? Call it George. See cute dog on tv? Call it George (but you need to say the name in a British accent, according to my sister XD. She thinks practically anything could be a ‘George’.)

Lol, I think I’ve only watched Snow White once as a kid, and I blocked most of it from my memory XD. *gasp* You’ve never seen the Lion King?! Jk.😉

                  1. I’m not entirely sure….
And George! Oh my! That is a cute name for a dog! XD and the British accent! I grew up Curious George, so George has always been… around. LOL.

                    And yes, tis true!

                    1. It really is! (My younger sister may or may not have named the dog in one of my stories ‘George’…XD.) Oh yeah, Curious George! I remember mostly watching the movies/tv series with my sisters lol.
